[ THE OFFICE TRI ]

Photobucket

We put together two office triathlon teams for the local "Share a Smile" triathlon a few weeks ago. We participated in the sprint-distance team relay division. Team 16 ended up taking third place in our division, and our office won a multi-purpose bike tool as part of an after-race. Not too bad for a couple hours of office-bonding on a saturday morning.

TEAM 139:
Nephi (swim)
McKinley (bike)
Scott (run)

TEAM 16:
Nicki (swim)
Matt (bike)
Eric (run)

Nephi killing it in the swim. NOTE: The organizers had us line up in order of fastness to do the swim, and Nephi was the FIRST, very first, participant in into the water. Translation: Nephi is freaking fast.

McKinley may have suffered two flat tires during his section of the race (don't worry, he still killed it too), but he definitely still made it to his son's soccer game on time.

Scott rockin' it through the finish.

Biggest upset (the good kind) was discovering the day before the race that Eric was a HS cross country runner. He had thought it would be fun to fool us all into thinking he wasn't a good runner, but in my book, averaging 6.25-minute miles definitely isn't in the "not a good runner" category.
